A limited amount of travel support for early career researchers (within 15 years of Ph.D. confirmation) and graduate students is available from multiple sources.
(1) U.S. National Science Foundation: To be eligible for this funding you must be at a U.S. institution. Please apply via an email to Bill Chadwick as per instructions below.
(2) International Association of Sedimentologists: Student travel grants are available for members of the International Association of Sedimentologists (10 euro/yr) to attend this conference; student members presenting on any sedimentologically relevant topic can apply for a grant from their member profile before 15 October 2016. See the IAS Web site.
(3) IAVCEI: Grants are available for ECR researchers who are members of IAVCEI. Please apply via an email to Bill Chadwick as per instructions below.
To apply for (1) or (3), send an email to Bill Chadwick with your position and institutional details together with a 500-word statement describing your request for travel support and the importance of the conference goals in relation to your research.
Decisions on travel support will be made by the program committee by 31 October.
